AI Agent for ChatGPT Ads: Campaigns, Ads and Tracking | Baker

The AI agent that runs your ChatGPT Ads, with your approval

Baker is a paid media agent that does the daily work of a ChatGPT Ads account, the ads OpenAI shows inside ChatGPT conversations: campaigns, ad groups, context hints, ads, audiences and conversion tracking. It presents every change with its reason, and nothing reaches your account until someone on your team publishes it.

An ad next to the question it answers

Baker writes ads for the questions your buyers ask ChatGPT. This one is real work for a client, with the brand removed.

It shows next to questions like

  • “a cheaper alternative to my helpdesk”
  • “answer where is my order automatically”
  • “prepare my store's support for Black Friday”

Real changes in ChatGPT Ads

ChatGPT Ads

  • New 40/day

A first campaign optimized for purchases

A campaign in Spain that optimizes for the purchase on the store's thank-you page, with a separate ad group for each product line.

  • Audience Context hints

Ad groups built on what people ask ChatGPT

Each ad group carries the questions it should appear next to, such as how to automate customer support for an online store, or a cheaper alternative to a helpdesk.

  • Ads Updated

Questions rewritten after the first weeks

Context hints reworded to match how people really ask, such as the best training and diet app in Spanish, or a meal plan for two.

  • Tracking From the CRM

    Every conversion that matters, counted

Form leads, booked demos, web orders and customers won in HubSpot, each set up as its own conversion in ChatGPT Ads.

  • Audience 5,000+ people

    Lists of premium buyers

Thousands of past premium customers uploaded as protected emails, one list per product line.

  • Tracking Tracking

A tracking template on every campaign

Each visit carries the campaign, the ad and ChatGPT's click id, so it is attributed to the ad that brought it.

  • New 2 ad groups

A campaign for a new market

A campaign for Brazil with one ad group for marketplace sellers and one for online stores, and ads written in Portuguese.

  • Ads New copy

Ads rewritten with the price up front

An ad's title and text rewritten to lead with the yearly price and what the plan includes.

What Baker does in ChatGPT Ads every day

ChatGPT Ads are the ads OpenAI shows inside ChatGPT conversations: a short card with a title, a line of text, an image and a link. Baker reads your ChatGPT Ads account directly, compares it with the leads and sales your pages bring, and prepares the changes worth making. Typical work in a week:

  • Set up campaigns. A campaign with its objective (reach, clicks or conversions), a daily or lifetime budget, dates, the countries and places to include or leave out, and the platforms to show on, from the ChatGPT app to the web.
  • Write the context hints. Ad groups in ChatGPT Ads are guided by plain-language descriptions of when the ad would be useful, rather than keywords. Baker writes them the way your buyers actually ask, in the language of each country: Spanish for Spain, Portuguese for Portugal.
  • Write the ads. Short titles and text with the offer in the first words, so nothing important gets cut, with an image and a link to the right page. A card shows no price field, so Baker puts the price in the text when it matters.
  • Set bids and budgets. Fixed bids or automatic bidding for clicks or conversions, and budget moved to the campaigns that bring results. Baker treats a new bid as a starting point and checks delivery a few days later.
  • Build audiences. Lists of your own customers to leave out of a campaign, or to show it only to them where ChatGPT Ads allows it.
  • Find what blocks delivery. A brand review still pending, a missing brand icon, a spent budget or a rejected ad. Baker checks each level and tells you which one is holding the rest.
  • Report. Spend, clicks, cost per click, conversions and cost per lead by campaign, country and device, and what changed in the account before results moved.

Nothing goes live until you publish

Baker does the work, and a person on your team approves it. Every campaign, ad group, ad, audience and conversion waits in a review with the reason Baker made it, before and after. You approve it in one click, in Baker or in Slack.

When you publish, the changes apply to your real ChatGPT Ads account. If you discard the work, nothing changes. Ads still go through OpenAI’s own review after you publish, and Baker checks afterwards that each change landed and shows you what is still in review.

Measuring leads from ChatGPT

A click from ChatGPT only counts if you can see what happened next. Baker sets up the measurement with you: it defines the conversions that matter, such as a new lead, and attaches them to your campaigns.

Baker adds the ChatGPT Ads pixel to the pages it builds and sends a lead to ChatGPT Ads each time someone submits one of your Forms. It then checks that the event really arrives, so a conversion campaign learns from real leads rather than from an empty column. For the basics of the channel, from who sees the ads to what they cost, read our guide to ChatGPT Ads in Spain.

Ads and landing pages for each conversation

Someone who asks ChatGPT about a problem expects an answer, not a homepage. Baker builds landing pages and forms for your ChatGPT campaigns, in your brand, so the person lands on a page about exactly what they asked. It can run an A/B test on the page and tell you which version brings more leads.

Because the same agent writes the hints, the ad and the page, the three say the same thing.

For agencies running many clients

An agency can run every client’s ChatGPT Ads from one place. Each client has its own account, brand and Baker, and each person on your team sees only the clients you give them. You can ask which client’s ChatGPT campaigns cost the most per lead this month without opening account after account. See Baker for agencies.

Other channels Baker runs

ChatGPT Ads is new, so it usually runs next to channels you already trust. Baker runs Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads and X Ads from the same place, and moves budget between channels when one sells better. For the bigger picture, read how AI agents are changing performance marketing.

Questions

How much does Baker cost for ChatGPT Ads?
Baker's plans start at $500 a month (€500 in Europe), and every plan includes every platform, ChatGPT Ads among them. Work is measured in credits: a quick task such as moving budget takes 100 to 300 credits, and the starting plan includes 33,000 a month. Your ad spend is billed by OpenAI as usual. See /pricing for every plan.
Can Baker change my ChatGPT Ads account without asking?
No. Every campaign, ad group, ad, audience and conversion Baker prepares waits for your approval, and it reaches ChatGPT Ads only when someone publishes it. Discard the work and nothing changes. New campaigns are prepared paused unless you ask for them to start at once, and Baker says so when they will spend.
What does Baker need access to?
Your ChatGPT Ads account, connected with a key you create in ChatGPT Ads Manager and paste into a secure card in Baker, never into the chat. Baker works with one ChatGPT Ads account per company. To measure leads, Baker also adds the ChatGPT Ads pixel to the pages and forms it builds for you.
How is advertising in ChatGPT different from Google search ads?
In Google you bid on keywords people type. In ChatGPT Ads you describe, in plain language, the moments when your ad would help, and OpenAI uses those context hints to decide where it shows. Baker writes those hints in the language your buyers use when they ask ChatGPT, and keeps them up to date with what works.
Why is my ChatGPT ad not showing?
Often it is something above the ad: the brand review is not approved yet, the brand icon is missing, a budget is spent, or an ad was rejected. Baker checks the account, the campaign, the ad group and the ad in that order, tells you what is blocking delivery, and prepares the fix when it is something Baker can change.
Can an agency run many clients' ChatGPT Ads in Baker?
Yes. Each client is its own company in Baker, with its own ChatGPT Ads account, brand and access, and you can ask about every client at once. Each company after the first costs $100 a month.
