# The AI agent that runs your X Ads, with your approval

> Baker is a paid media agent that does the daily work of an X Ads account: campaigns, ad groups, budgets and bids, targeting, and which of your posts to promote. It presents every change with its reason, and nothing reaches your account until someone on your team publishes it.

## What Baker does in X Ads every day

Baker checks your X Ads account and does the work it finds. It reads campaigns, ad groups, promoted posts, targeting and results directly from X, and prepares the changes worth making. Typical work in a week:

- **Build campaigns.** A new campaign with its budget, its ad groups, the objective of each one, the targeting and the posts to promote, set up together and ready for your review.
- **Choose which posts to promote.** Baker reads the posts on your account, compares how the ones already promoted perform, and proposes promoting the posts that fit the campaign.
- **Set targeting.** Locations down to the city, interests, events, devices and platforms, plus your own custom audiences. Baker looks each option up in X before adding it, and removes targeting that is not pulling its weight.
- **Adjust budgets and bids.** Budget raised on what works and lowered on what does not, and bids set to match how each ad group is meant to bid.
- **Pause and resume.** Campaigns and ad groups paused when they waste budget, and resumed when the moment returns.
- **Report.** Spend, engagement, clicks, video views and conversions by campaign, ad group and promoted post, over the period you choose, and which campaigns actually ran.

## Nothing goes live until you publish

Baker does the work, and a person on your team approves it. Every new campaign, budget, bid, targeting change and promoted post waits in a review with the reason Baker made it, before and after. You approve it in one click, in Baker or in Slack.

When you publish, the changes apply to your real X Ads account, campaigns before the ad groups inside them. If you discard the work, nothing changes. After a publish, Baker shows which changes landed and names any X refused, so nothing is reported as done when it is not.

## Getting the most from posts you already have

On X, an ad is a promoted post. The posts that already started conversations with your audience are often the best candidates to put budget behind. Baker reads the posts on your account and how the ones already promoted perform, and proposes the next ones to put budget behind.

Baker does not write or publish posts on X. Your team keeps its voice, and Baker puts paid reach behind the posts that earn it. You can also create posts on X made only for ads, which never appear on your profile, and Baker will promote those too.

## Reading who your ads reached

A week of numbers says little on X. Baker reads results over the period you ask for, and splits them by age, gender or location when that matters, so you can see who your promoted posts actually reached and what it cost. Before reading, it checks which campaigns and ad groups really ran in that period, so a paused campaign does not muddy the report. Each weekly review ends with the changes worth making, waiting for your yes.

## Landing pages for X traffic

A click from a post should land on a page that continues the conversation. Baker builds landing pages and forms for your X campaigns, in your brand, and can add the X pixel to them so visits and leads are measured. It can run an A/B test on the page and tell you which version brings more leads.

## For agencies running many clients

An agency can run every client's X Ads from one place. Each client has its own ad accounts, brand and Baker, and each person on your team sees only the clients you give them. Ask which client spent the most on X this week, or get one report for all of them. See [Baker for agencies](/agency).

## Other channels Baker runs

X usually runs next to other channels. Baker runs [Google Ads](/channels/google-ads), [Meta Ads](/channels/meta-ads), [LinkedIn Ads](/channels/linkedin-ads) and [ChatGPT Ads](/channels/chatgpt-ads) from the same place, and moves budget between channels when one sells better. ## Questions

### How much does Baker cost for X Ads?

Baker's plans start at $500 a month (€500 in Europe), and every plan includes every platform, X Ads among them. Work is measured in credits: a quick task such as pausing campaigns or moving budget takes 100 to 300 credits, and the starting plan includes 33,000 a month. Your ad spend is billed by X as usual. See /pricing for every plan.

### Can Baker change my X Ads account without asking?

No. Every campaign, ad group, budget, bid, targeting change and promoted post waits for your approval, and it reaches X only when someone publishes it. Discard the work and nothing changes. New campaigns are prepared paused unless you ask for them to start at once, and Baker says so when they will spend.

### Does Baker write and publish posts on X for me?

No. Baker works on the paid side: it promotes posts that already exist on your X account, including posts made only to be advertised. Writing and publishing your posts stays with your team. Stopping a promoted post on X cannot be undone, so Baker tells you before it prepares that change.

### What does Baker need access to?

Your X Ads account, connected through X's own sign-in, and the ad accounts you select. You can connect several. You never paste passwords or keys into a chat.

### What can Baker target on X?

The targeting X offers on each ad group, such as locations down to cities, interests, events, devices and platforms, plus your custom audiences. Baker looks up each option in X before adding it, and can also remove targeting that is not working.

### Can an agency run many clients' X Ads in Baker?

Yes. Each client is its own company in Baker, with its own X ad accounts, brand and access, and you can ask about every client at once. Each company after the first costs $100 a month.
